Dan started playing bass guitar in 1976 and played professionally from 1977 to 1983.  He was with a band from Boston called "The Heat" that cut a record and made an appearance on WCVB, Channel 5.  He "retired" from music in 1983 until getting the call to join The Voice in 1997.

He likes Progressive Rock, Fusion and Jazz.  Some of his favorite players are Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius and Chris Squire.  Dan plays a 1975 Marcus Miller Fender Jazz Bass and uses a Hartke Combo Amp.
