As a child my family was very musical.  The wide variety of music to which I was introduced included performers such as BB King, Jennifer Holiday, Barbara Streisand, Phoebe Snow, Earth Wind & Fire, Johnny Mathis and yes, even Lawrence Welk (Gramma made me!).  I would listen to their music for hours learning all the words and listening to their ability to express great emotion through their performance.  My parents saw the love I had for music and encouraged me to express myself musically.

As an adolescent, I had 4 years of opera training which prompted me to act and sing in many musicals.  I worked with the Portsmouth Academy for Performing Arts and enjoyed every moment.  Music has been and always will be how I express myself.

I sing not for recognition, compliments or praise from others, but to satisfy my needs and my desires which in turn allow others to see a very big part of who I am.
